We are slowly migrating everyone to Exchange Server 2007. I decided that I wanted to be the guinea pig for the Mac users, and Marty (our system administrator) moved my mailbox over to the new server. Getting Exchange Server 2007 to work with Entourage isn't too difficult, but there are a few things that you must do. It took Marty a week, a lot of searching and a few calls to get this working. Hopefully this will save some time for anyone with the same issue!
The first thing your system administrator must do is ensure that DAV and IMAP are enabled on the Exchange Server.
Once that is working and you try to configure Entourage manually (it won't auto detect) you will likely get the following error:
Verification Failed: "HTTP error. The resource is not found." (-18596 )
The secret here is that you must enter the Exchange Server details in a specific format. This format is:
https://exchange.companyname.com/exchange/ThisShouldBeEasier@microsoft.com
Note that you replace:
- exchange.companyname.com with the location of your Exchange 2007 Server; and
- ThisShouldBeEasier@microsoft.com with your actual email address.
Now that you have working email again you can once again write the MacBU and let them know that you want a real version of Outlook for the mac :P

This article is JUST what I needed. The first Google hit on "Entourage Exchange" should be this page.
I didn't RTFM, but I would have thought the settings would be more straightforward than this. Jeez.

Problem accessing my emails from Entourage on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007
I bought the new Mac Book Pro with Leopard operating system and Entourage 2008 installed. I tried to configure Entourage to be as the default email program to work with Microsoft Exchange 2007 (which is installed under the Windows Server 2003 64-bit platform). Entourage sends and receives emails using IMAP but unable to sync with the address book, Calendar, or viewing the sub files of my inbox on the exchange server. Also sometimes I get the email twice on my Mac Book but once on a windows outlook email client. When I configured it to connect to MS Exchange Server 2007 using the “new account” – Exchange option it didn’t connect to the exchange server (basically I doesn’t bring anything from the exchange server using the exchange setup option when setting up the new account on the macbook)”. Please not that I’ve tried the setup of Entourage 2008 (Mac Workstation and not my MacBookPro) to “another” Exchange 2007 Server 32 bit and it worked!!!
I appreciate any help with this regards as I am new to the MAC world and I like it so far but my business and my personal productivity took a serious negative impact because of the fact that my emails or calendar are not sync.
Much appreciated.
Tareq.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I couldn't connect once my university moved from exchange server 2003 to 2007. Called the IT help desk and they said sorry, we don't support Entourage (nice, huh?) so I had to try and figure it out on my own. Was getting frustrated until I stumbled upon your blog. thanks again!

When am unable to connect to my corporate Exchange server. The error I receive is:
Error: An unknown error has occurred in Entourage
Explanation: Mail could not be sent/ Account name Sprint Exchange Account/ Error 107
I have validated my settings with other Mac co-workers.
I am running Mac Office/Entourage 2008 and MacOS 10.6.2. I have installed all available updates.
Mac's are unsupported by IT, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
